A HELLO FROM JENNY
Hello, and thank you for visiting NatureNeedsKids.com, the official site for singer/songwriter Jenny Morgan.  As you can see, the site is under construction.  It won’t be long now.  Unfortunately, the release of my CD has also been delayed.  My projected date of completion for my CD was April 28th, 2008, but recording music always takes longer than one thinks it is going to.  If all goes well, the CD should be done by early summer, and the site should be up and running within the next few weeks.  The vision for the site is that it will include samples and lyrics from the new CD, as well as purchasing options (both physical copies and digital downloads).  There will also be information on the Children and Nature movement, the Leave No Child Inside Central Ohio Collaborative, and more.   

So, thanks again for visiting!  Please check back in mid June and thanks for your patience.  If you would like to receive an email when all is complete, feel free to email me, and I’ll be sure to send you an email announcing its completion.

NATURE NEEDS KIDS AND KIDS NEED NATURE

In celebration of Children and Nature Awareness month, singer and songwriter Jenny Morgan will be releasing her new independent CD entitled: "Nature Needs Kids and Kids Need Nature-- Music inspired by the Children and Nature Movement, and more". This wonderful and inspiring compilation includes the title track "Nature Needs Kids and Kids Need Nature" as well as "Leave No Child Inside", "Letter from Camp", and "The Blue Light", a poignant song about our children's addiction to video games, and the importance of helping them find those quiet places where they can "lay down in the grass and dream, dream, dream."

Two of the tracks on Jenny's new album include the sweet and joyous voices of the kindergartners from the local school where she teaches. Ms. Morgan and these very special kindergartners were recently invited to the Governor's mansion in Columbus, where they were honored to sing "Nature Needs Kids" and "Leave No Child Inside" for Mrs. Frances Strickland, First Lady of Ohio.

Along with being a singer and a songwriter, Ms. Morgan is also the Co-Chair of The Leave No Child Inside Central Ohio Collaborative. Through both of these roles, Jenny is hoping she can inspire more people to join the Children and Nature movement. “We need to get our children up, outside, moving and reconnected with nature”, says Ms. Morgan. “The health of our children AND the health of our natural world depend on it! I hope my music, in its own small way, can help heal this very important relationship, and can help propel this very important movement forward.”
